Jewelry Care
Every piece of my jewelry is hand-crafted with care and attention to detail; using only the finest materials. As with any fine jewelry, be careful not to submerge my designs in water. Also, wait until you've finished applying your makeup, perfume or hairspray before putting on your jewelry.  The following tips will help you care for particular kinds of gems and crystals.

Swarovksi Crystals

Swarovski crystal should be handled with cotton gloves (to avoid fingerprints).  Individual crystals can be washed by hand in lukewarm water with a few drops of a mild dish detergent added. Rinse under running water and dry with a soft, lint-free cloth to avoid spotting. Never use abrasive or corrosive detergents; glass or window-cleaning fluids

can cause streaking.

Cultured Pearls
Cultured pearls, even those with thicker coatings, are more fragile than most other gemstones. Pearls should be handled very carefully to keep them in good condition.

Wipe your pearls with a soft, lint-free cloth as soon as you take them off. The cloth can be dry or dampened with water. If damp, allow the pearls to air dry before putting them away. Dirty pearls can be cleaned with a mild soap and water solution (try Ivory Flakes). Never clean your pearls with solutions that contain ammonia or harsh detergents or place them in an ultrasonic cleaner.

Pearls are easily scratched by metal or other gemstones, so be careful not to store your pearls with other jewelry. Give them a special place in your jewelry box, or keep them in a soft bag made from chamois or another non-abrasive fabric.

Your fine pearl necklaces should be restrung periodically so that you're sure the cord holding them is in good shape.
Sterling Silver
All of my pieces are made with sterling silver metal. Store it away from your other jewelry so as not to scratch it. After wearing, wipe down your jewelry with a lightly damp (water only) soft cloth. To help keep the silver from tarnishing, store your jewelry in an airtight plastic bag along with a black anti-tarnish strip. The anti-tarnish strip should be placed in the bag with the jewelry, yet not directly touching the silver.
